Immune System Shot: Fire Cider


Fire Cider. Have you tried it? No? Well, you need to!

This powerful anti-inflammatory, warming and circulatory shot has amazing health benefits! This recipe includes onions. Onions help lower your blood pressure, and are good for your immune system. Garlic, also known as, the poor man’s penicillin! This natural antibiotic is amazing for your heart health as well as reducing the fat in your liver. HorseRadish- the star of this video. This antimicrobial root fights cancer and increases your immune system! I also added turmeric and ginger. They both are amazing for your digestive system and are extremely anti-inflammatory.

Full recipe for a Tonic:
Horseradish root- 3 inches
Turmeric root- 1 to 2 inches
Ginger root – 2 to 3 inches
Onion-1 medium sized White or yellow onions
Garlic- 8 cloves to a whole head of garlic
1 Hot pepper – I used jalapeños but prefer Habanero pepper
1/8th Teaspoon Cayenne powder
1-2 Lemons

Now for the tonic you’re going to want to wash and peel all of the ingredients. Then Slightly then all of the ingredients and add them to a large glass jar. When you’re complete submerge the dry ingredients with raw, organic apple cider vinegar. Place this tonic on the shelf in a dry cool area for 2 to 3 weeks. Until you can see the fibers really start to breakdown. Next year will remove all of the fiber from the jar and strain into a fresh clean jar. At this time you can add maple syrup to reduced the punch. Note to self it won’t fully take away this punch. But for people like me we enjoy it.

Make sure you wash thoroughly and cut your ingredients very small. We are dealing with it very fibrous roots. And you want to be kind to your juicer. Alternate your ingredients threw the juicer.
